The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2026) is India’s single, national-level entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc & AH, and other medical courses across government and private medical colleges in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

NEET-UG is mandatory for admission to AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, and other reputed medical institutions. The exam is expected to be conducted in May 2026 in offline (pen-and-paper) mode.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) prescribes the eligibility, syllabus, and exam pattern for NEET every year.

📘 NEET-UG 2026 Exam Pattern

The NEET 2026 exam is conducted in offline mode (OMR-based) and consists of a single paper comprising Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).

Each subject has two sections – A & B. Section A contains 35 questions, and Section B contains 15 questions (out of which 10 are to be attempted).
