The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 is one of India’s most popular and competitive national-level engineering entrance exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the gateway to top engineering institutes like NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and also acts as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which leads to admissions in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year — usually in January and April — giving candidates two opportunities to improve their scores. The best of the two attempts is considered for ranking.

📘 JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern

The JEE Main 2026 exam is held online (CBT mode) for all papers. The exam consists of three papers depending on the course:

Paper 2A: B.Arch
Paper 2B: B.Planning

Each paper has objective-type questions (MCQs) and numerical value-type questions.
